@ArtCrumbs I'd also like to visit New Zealand too. It sounds weird but I guess I'm fascinated to experience the differences of the southern hemisphere which is mostly season based but yeah...I know it sounds weird but at the same time, I don't know why, I'm fascinated with how interesting it is to think how up in the Northern Hemisphere it's winter, but south is summer.

Re: Question of the Week - Favorite Genre in Storytelling and Why?

I guess when put in general terms, Fantasy, but usually I think of its many subgenres too as well as a Post-Apocalypse story. What can really hook me in is the world-building that happens within the story. Good world-building always sets my imagination in motion. For example, Stand Still Stay Silent; it's mainly set in Scandinavia 90 years after the brunt of a horrific pandemic and you get bits and pieces of info of the creatures spawned from the pandemic and the various protocols. So of course I end up theorizing how other countries outside of the known world of Scandinavia are surviving.

When you have a character and you can't come up with a story for them.

Hi, I've been struggling for awhile with a character I've really wanted to use in a story but I can't seem to focus on a story around him and I'm wondering if anyone has that same issue?

Characters you really related to

Have there been characters that you just absolutely relate or related to?

For me it's Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. I first read the comic strip in the fifth grade in my classroom during reading time. I am on the spectrum (ASD) and Calvin was just...me in a sense. I just related to a child who lives in their own little world which was me. I still relate to him now almost twenty years later and I even have my own stuffed tiger I named Hobbes.
