Well 2020 was a whirlwind to say the least. And if there is one thing that kept all of us sane here in the GlobalComix community, it has been the outlandishly good stories coming from the independent community. As the year is winding down, we're highlighting the top 20 titles of 2020 - ranked by a combination of readership and impact on the community - in four installments. Today's feature is numbers 16-20, and we're getting off to an excellent start.

A young and ambitious baker loses her cafe in a disastrous fire, but sees none of the insurance payout. In a desperate attempt to get her life back on track, she turns to smuggling illegal goods through her cake deliveries for fast, but dangerous cash.

16. The Kill Journal, Failed Superheroes Club, (cc/ @FSC)

The Kill Journal is a tale of Revenants and the Survivors who hunt them. Revenants are evil spirits back from the dead, wielding chainsaws and machetes, and their victims, the ones still alive, are taking a stand. Led by a half-mad preacher, they're ridding the world of these monsters before they become one themselves.
