Our Creator Interviews for Creator Appreciation Month welcomes Opal Lines, an illustrator and shojosei mangaka from New York City. A rising star in the indie manga space, Opal's newest one-shot Frambuesa Soda was recently published with Euromanga Academy's Chronicles Manga Magazine. 

Far from just manga, Opal Lines has worked on numerous western comic titles, such as Monster High: New Scaremester, My Little Pony: Endless Summer, and done webinars and demonstrations for industry powerhouses like Wacom and Graphixly, a distributor for Clip Studio Paint (Celsys).

GlobalComix is proud to announce that Creator Appreciation Month returns this month. We're bringing back some activities from last year, while adding even more opportunities for features and highlights for our creators. Creators aren’t just part of the platform; they are the platform.

Here's a breakdown of what we've planned for the month:

• Social Media activities with a dedicated hashtag (#CreatorAppreciation) to share and promote your comics each week
• A variety of news content, including interviews throughout the month
• Creator-focused promotion through Twitter, Bluesky, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram posts

Our Creator Interview series is back this week with veteran animator and creator of Steamroller Man, Matt Schofield. With a stunning background in animation with well-known films like Prince of Egypt and The Iron Giant, T.V. shows like The Simpsons, Matt has so much knowledge to share about visual narrative. Our Creator Interview series returns with Charlie McElvy of @Xion Studios. With multiple series in the works as well as experience in crowdfunding, Charlie has some serious knowledge that is valuable to creators and publishers alike. Add in a consistently positive attitude and a love for comics and manga, and he was an easy choice for an interview.
