Introduce Your Comic and You! (Old Thread)

Hey! I'm new here, just call me JD.

I'm a hobbyist artist with a love for comics/graphic novels, been drawing 'em since elementary school. It took me a while to get my feet off the ground, but it was worth it when I won a PDF comic contract with a publisher (Alterna Comics, if anyone wants to know). The work in question that earned the contract was my first story, "Lil' Hero Artists", which I've brought here after parting with my publisher on good terms.

I'm trying to get as much exposure for this work as I can, not for fame or money, but simply because I'm so flippin' proud of it. I've got a huge backlog, but since I've got a great job that still manages to wear me out at the end of the day, I can't promise a consistent update schedule. Forgive me, but I'm a busy dude!

Hi Everyone

I'm from Johannesburg, South Africa but now living in London.
I found out about GlobalComix through an article recommending websites to publish comics online - think it might have been Domestika?? I joined Tapas first but it seems that most of the comics/graphic novels are mainly one style and almost repetitive so spied out GlobalComix which is a great site and more like what I was after!

I can't draw cartoons well so I've resorted to using AI to try to create my scenes. Progress is slow to say the least, sometimes frustrating but on we plod. The crowd on here is pretty friendly and supportive.

I like the themes of Film-Noir and Futuristic - two totally different ends of the spectrum. Maybe I'll try to do something combining the styles a bit like BladeRunner. At the moment my Graphic Novel is Traditional Film-Noir.

Along the way, he will team up with Concordia Destiny, a feisty treasure hunter and Zell Braveheart, a mercenary who is looking for a big payday. All of their quests will intertwine with one destiny: The Pale Mistress.

Hey everybody, Dan from Berlin here, I discovered Global Comix while searching online for self-publishing possibilities. I have just released issue #1 of Savior Alpha, a six issue miniseries.

It's a superhero-crime-mystery-SF hybrid, a book I put a lot of time and effort into, masterfully coloured by video game concept artist Paolo Cagampan. It has a filmy look and feel (I'm a full-time filmmaker) and a very serious tone. An old, ex-superhero sets out on a path to find his grandson's killer. The problem: He gave his powers away fifteen years ago, willingly, and now he needs them back to find the killer. But the new owners of his powers... they're not so willing to give them back.

Hi everyone! I’m Donatello “Donnie” Jones (or my username: DonEffect).

The art, paneling and pacing is a bit rough at first, I admit. But I think I quickly improved.

“GrimWake” follows a trans man named Tobias Garfield. He’s a socially awkward college drop-out. The dropping out wasn’t exactly planned, as he got wrapped up into some supernatural (and traumatic) shenanigans. Oh yeah, and he found out he has a couple of super human abilities, called variants. To try to make something of himself, he joins the local Hero Force. However, it seems that his past of troubled luck still remains to unfold. With new friends and foes along the way, it might just end up that they might be in a major role of something bigger than they ever intended for.

Oh, and the main cast all is some sort of LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent (ASD, ADHD, etc.)

Hi there!! My name is Danni (sometimes known as Scotty because of my username) and I just started uploading my first comic! I've been an artist for years and obsessed with comics in some form for so long, it was only a matter of time.
My (first!) comic is called Savior Complex, and it's a western-style superhero comic about two beings-- one made to destroy planets and one made to save them, and their time on Earth.

Hello everybody! Hope all is well. I’ve seen some pretty cool comics on the site; kudos to all the creators! I found the site thanks to a comicfury thread. I’m Ryan and I guess my main comic right now is Riveting Comic Narratives - I’m working on issue three right now and I suppose my best way to describe the series is that this is my love/hate letter to Superhero comics, hopefully you’ll see that I’m not laughing at Superheroes but that I’m laughing with Superheroes. This is my favorite page so far (which appears at the end of RCN 2.7)



I’m also working on a few other comics (especially on one that’s called Autonomous Illusions inspired by everything that’s going on with Generative AI) which I’ll be sharing sometime in the near future. Thanks for allowing me to post on this thread and I’ll talk to everyone soon!
