Hi everyone! 👋 I'm Jimi Macías, comic author and illustrator.

I’m based in Europe and have been creating comics for several years now—my work often blends the intimate with the fantastic, exploring identity, memory, and the emotional side of sci-fi, noir, and surrealism.

My latest project is called Re-Intransextellar, a queer space opera full of feelings, silences, longing glances, strange rituals, and gender-fluid rebels adrift in a crumbling galaxy.

It’s not about saving the universe. It’s about surviving it.
And maybe… about finding something—or someone—to live for.

Partnered with Wrench, a cybernetic monkey hybrid, he is sent to infiltrate Affamato, a ruthless cyborg mafia that holds Florence in its grip. Story: Many years ago on earth, A strange phenomenon occurred, manifesting a second moon known as “The Curse Moon” appearing right next to earth's orbit that began to create disasters and strange events that can’t be explained. These events brought a new land that has not been touched by man in the last few centuries known as “Gensho Island” the island of tomorrow,fueled with technological wonder and robotics which seems to be impossible to reach in this century. Now in 1985, the shining age of rock and roll comes to show the glamorous lifestyle of JoMEi, a 21-year-old rock and roll music star who travels around the globe with her band The Crescent Moon Angle. During a meeting with a music producer things turn for the worst. Leading the band to travel to a mysterious paradise island . However, in the night of the city district things are not as it seems as if forces not from this world cause havoc and chaos only to be drawn by fate. It is up to the CMA band and the allies they meet to uncover the bizarre truth of their world.

We are Jim & Ari, two long-time friends and coworkers. We started pitching ideas for a story at work a couple of years ago while we were bored. It slowly turned into something magical and took the form of a webcomic!

That's when GOLDBLOOM was born.

GOLDBLOOM is a fantasy comedy/drama story that's deeply emotional and character driven. Yes, we have monsters and villains to fight, but at its core, this story is about trauma, identity, resilience, and blooming through darkness.
