Re: The Iron Ragdoll Chapter 1 feedback
@Zmax thank you for your feedback! I would like to ask why you think the story is not "a cohesive whole"? Because it wans't meant to be that way.

The Iron Ragdoll Chapter 1 feedback

Since chapter 1 of TIR is complete, I wanted some feedback before moving on to chapter 2. Any feedback would be nice!

Re: Seeking help on tests
maybe you can upload the comics somewhere else (like github, maybe, or google drive) and post that link instead. after all, its readable as long as the images are there. or, you can try finding some comic beta-reading groups to find a beta-reader, perhaps a long-term one.

anyways, the link you posted (https://globalcomix.com/c/kate-george-california-test-2/chapters/en/1/1) leads to a "release not found." maybe you havent published it?

question for creators: how do you usually plan your comics?
considering that its not gag-a-day. how do you plot it, mostly, if you know what i mean.considering that its not gag-a-day. how do you plot it, mostly, if you know what i mean.

for me i just write it down in a huge-ass .md file whenever i have an idea. it may be for the next episode, or it may be for a plot element waaay in the future. and when i have enough stuff for an episode i sit down and write the script & stuff. or not write the script if im feeling lazy but usually that doesnt turn out wellfor me i just write it down in a huge-ass .md file whenever i have an idea. it may be for the next episode, or it may be for a plot element waaay in the future. and when i have enough stuff for an episode i sit down and write the script & stuff. or not write the script if im feeling lazy but usually that doesnt turn out well

Re: mystery / thriller comics recommendation!
could you please be more specific in your descriptions? i kind of want to make this thread a place where mystery lovers can actually find good content, instead of just a cheesy drop your promotions here thread.

cuz if it was the former, id just search and filter and that would be easier

like if i were making my friend read a book, i wouldnt go like "just go read it!" and copy the first paragraph of the wikipedia article

Re: mystery / thriller comics recommendation!
@cmc yeah but i wanna hear some unique aspects from the readers that dont normally show up in the description. having someone recommend sth to you just feels different, yknow? and besides you will know somebody whos also reading this comic

Re: mystery / thriller comics recommendation!
ill take the lead

Vei4 is a cool spy thriller about a bunch of people fighting an origanization called "white crows." they are locked on an island to prevent secret-spilling. vertical format. available on gc, just search up

and if youll excuse the shameless advertisement, my own comic, the iron ragdoll, is a mystery / suspense that takes place in an au where the mongolian empire (yuan dynasty) never collapsed, and survived into the modern world (though thats hardly relevant... i just wanna tell somebody!) it mostly takes place in a small town inhabited by kids.

mystery / thriller comics recommendation!
i want to read some new comics. if you have comics in the genre of thriller / mystery and stuff without a heavy focus on romance (bruuhh i kinda got tired of those) plz recommend here! it doesnt matter whether you made it or you read it

Re: What are your favourite story themes to explore in your work?
i just love stuff like mysteries and spy thrillers: hard logic, shocking twists, and people chess. outsmarting your opponents only to find that youre the pawn all along, and gray morality and stuff.

Re: What part of comic/manga making do you want to learn about the most?
for short stories, you can do something interesting that happened today, or maybe a particular scene from a book you like. preferrably a book that doesnt have a movie.

as for me, id like to learn about paneling. most of my comic pages are 2 by 3 squares like dog man lol. even dog man has better paneling now. and though dog man is meant for kids, its a great series.
