Observations on Comic Art

I have been putting together some videos looking in detail at comic art.  I would love to hear your thoughts about the "art" of comic art.

I have two videos posted on this topic.  The first looks at how two artists, five hundred years apart, solve the problem of creating reproducible (printed) art in black and white.
Observations on Comic Art: Albrecht Dürer and Hal Foster

The se
cond take a deeps dive looking at the art of the two pages from Dune the Graphic Novel. We will discuss page / tile layouts, color, and the manipulation of time.

As a guy who studies to be an art teacher (and currently studying for Engraving class, funnily enough), seeing Dührer mentioned warms my heart, but also Foster, because my father and I are fans of his work. Great analysis and breakdown of him and how their works inspire us.
