Observations on Comic Art
I have been putting together some videos looking in detail at comic art. I would love to hear your thoughts about the "art" of comic art.
I have two videos posted on this topic. The first looks at how two artists, five hundred years apart, solve the problem of creating reproducible (printed) art in black and white.

The second take a deeps dive looking at the art of the two pages from Dune the Graphic Novel. We will discuss page / tile layouts, color, and the manipulation of time.

I learned about Global Comix from Michel Fortin, the artist for The Killing Machine.
