About
hello everyone, you can call me MousyLou, I'm a girl with way too much imagination so I decided to share some with the world. I like fantasy and what can I say, I'm a sucker for humanoid monster stories out of the ordinary. ;3c

Sure thing!
So you post your full buffer(chapter or pages not public yet) in paid mode and schedule for free each separate page of your buffer for free.
This way, people who want it for free have a page available on a programmed schedule. i do once every two weeks.
If people want to see the whole buffer, they can pay for it with a gold membership or pdf format.
hope it helps
1- mantoly
hello I came across your comic/project and it really caught my attention. I’m a comic artist, and I help turn ideas/scripts into clean, engaging Webtoon-style episodes. Are you currently working on anything that might need an artist?
and 2- THOLULAPEY
I just binged Lost Souls and couldn't stop imaging creating fully animated clips of it. I'm an animator who brings comics to life. If you've ever thought about seeing your panels move, I'd love to talk. my discord name is @(tholulapey03).
People's engagement with one's work depends on what they see. If there is little to none, they will just move on to something else. you need some bait to attract the eye of those fishies. ;3c
But nothing is stopping you from promoting your other works as a creator until you can share some content from your comic.
when i don't have any comic content to share, that is what I do. In the comment section of the piece, I add my comic link, so if people like the piece, they can also be informed that I am making a comic. It gives me a lot of extra views, which is quite a nice little bonus.
You can find the link before the small list. If you find new ones that work for your comic, you can also add them to the list for others to try out. ^^
Exactly. You create a chapter version that is paid on one hand and the on the other you release a free page of that chapter on a schedule.
If people don't want to wait they can pay to see all of the chapter if not they can have access to a page per schedule for free.
If it's about release on global you can try to do it like me

I got a nice little amount of money by doing so.

Hi i make demons kiss <3
here is how it goes:
1- For this to work you are going to need a buffer ( pages not published yet) from your comic. like a chapter or something similar. my chapters are around 10 to 15 pages each.

2- you are going to have to make your comic a paid one ( hold on!!! you will understand at the end) you can do so by going to your comic setting and click Edit licensing then go to settings and check paid

make sure that your issues are entirely locked or else people may be capable to see some of your buffers for free.

3- think of a schedule for your publishing. to make it work to its fullest, it is good to have one. the period is up to you and what you can do. you need to calculate how long it will take you to make another buffer and how long your present buffer will last. With my full-time job, I can't schedule each week but I can do bi-weekly thanks to my buffer which leaves me till May to come up with a new one.
Once you have decided, schedule each page individually. Make sure that when you create a new release you check the button ALWAYS FREE

this will make your issue free to all when published ( see I told you to wait!) do this to all your scheduled pages

don't forget to add them to the ones published or they will become locked to the public!!!!!
4- create a new issue explaining that they are up to date and your comic schedule so people don't think that your comic has become a paid one and look elsewhere.

Place it at the end of your scheduled issues so it will always show after the last release.

5- now create another issue with the whole buffer (chapter) and publish. because your comic is a paid one only people that are subscribers or paid the digital copy can have access to it (cool right). it's like a webtoon/tapastic unlock system but for a bigger piece of the pie ^^

how do you set the price for your chapter? that is easy. Go to your page setting in the pricing section.

then set a price to your buffer. you can also add some to your other chapter ^^ for more chances to get money.

I put them at 2$ or less. no need to make them expensive, they are free after all. what matters is the buffer price. this section doesn't work for vertical comics but you still can get some money from subscribers.
As a plus, you can add the donation feature to your account. people can also offer money for your hard work. all you have to do is go to your page setting, go to the donation setting and check it.

make sure that you disable the superfan feature or else the issue will get free after 14 days. it will be in your donation setting.

well, I think that's pretty much it. I hope that you liked my mousy tip. for this to work better you need to get a good flow of readers. Which is why promoting is VERY important believe me.
here an example of the mousy tip

what! you don't know where to promote! have you tried Reddit yet? here is another mousy tip for those interested to get more views PSSSTTT over here
My comic has become the number one most viewed for the whole year in only a couple of months all thanks to promoting it on Reddit.

in only 3 months I managed to get over 439k views most of it thanks to reddit
some people think that promoting isn't essential and leave it aside. They don't have the time for it and the platform will do it for them. that is what I though when i was using webtoon and tapastic at that time for now years. and believe me, even with the big number of readers those platforms have nothing compared to promoting on social media.
I have been on webtoon for now 6 years

and 7 years on tapastic

this is 3 months of promoting on Reddit

see the difference?
Also promoting on Reddit may not give you that much followers on the comic platform but it can give you more on its platform

I don't know for you, but creating an account, for one thing, isn't something I like to do. I got enough as it is. if they were more sure but for one? so why not follow on the red platform and wait for a new post linking to a new update?
And some people on Reddit will even share your post on other sub and platform you don't even know exist which is defiantly a plus.

that is why promoting is very important to one work. And why I decided to make this thread. so that you too, fellow creators can get the hang of promoting and get the readership your comic definitely deserves.
now how to start... well first, before starting to promote, you should look at your comic and dissect it. Make a list of all the subjects you can find and write them down. what does my comic have?
example: fantasy, monster, monster girls, monster boys, lamias, merfolk, werewolf, phoenix, harpy, girls love, coilings, snake tongue, scales, lovers, vore, animal ears, animal tail, fangs... and so on for me.
those are the subject you may want to look for when searching for communities to post on.
why not just post on some comics platform and be done with it? that is because they are too general. they are so many subject pilling on each other that it is quite difficult to find anything in those. they are so many people that the moment you post, many others would have done the same, hiding your post.
Also from experience, those groups seem more interested in simple one-page little comic strips and popular content like MCU/DC. they are even a lot of trolls that downvote your work. the higher I got was 7 upvotes. I saw some great comic designs getting to zero for no reason.

this is not the type of place you want to promote in. it will only discourage you. if it wasn't for CG encouraging me to go for subjects instead I would have quit right there.
Also how many comics do you think you will find in some subject of yours? this means way less competition between creators for the spotlight. do you know how many comics are in monster girls communities... not enough!!! Which gives me room to promote and get seen.
now then to the red beast, we go!!!!
here are some tips when facing the red beast.
1. promote your art not your comic. post what you can do as an artist. Show your art style. let people see what you can do not what you want to do. it doesn't even have to be comic-related. it can be a piece of art that you really like. You can add your comic info at the end with your art platform to peek the viewer's attention with more content from you.

2. Don’t promote yourself on the title. Some people on Reddit can’t handle seeing self-promoting. Instead, offer your information in the comment section. So that people interested in your work can have a way to look you up. this way you are, without saying it out loud, promoting your work. Add a summary to your comment about your story for more flare.

3. promote your work in multiple communities, not just one. this way you get more chances to get views

4. interact with others from the community. show that you care for others’ work. If you don’t, people might think that you are in their community only to promote which may anger them enough to ask Reddit to ban you.

5. promote when there is a good number of members online in the community. it will give you more chance to be noticed. the best time is in the morning or at night after work.

6. posting via mobile/app give you more access to different types of post than if you were to use your computer. a lot don't accept images posted by computer. I mean why?

7. don't spam the community with your work. post a few here and there then wait a few days or a week. let people digest your work a little. Me, I post once to twice a week for not even 5 minutes. that gives you plenty of time to work on your comic ;3c
8. follow the rule of the community you are in. that is very important if you don't want to get quick out or worst ban from reddit.

9. if you aren't sure about a community, contact the mods. this way you are protecting yourself from a potential ban from that community. it also will show you in a good light to the mods by asking first.

10. don't give up keep trying.
For more info about the self-promoting etiquette on Reddit, you can refer to those two posts.

I grew up always drawing dragons and writing stories, so I'm excited to finally bring one of them to life! The lore of this particular comic has been in the making for about 14 years now and I'm excited to finally be sharing it with the world outside of my small circle and hope people enjoy it!
