Hello I am daisam and I write a series called Malice. It's a dark fantasy take on Alice in Wonderland. My patreon has all of chapter 1, 2, 3 and 4 up with updates on Mondays!
Alice has lived 100's of lives and this last life will decide the fate of all the worlds, but the first Alice's memories and even spirit stand in her way. Memories of the first life flood back into her memory as if she was living it right there. Will her will break or will she finally end the nightmares plagued by Malice?

Re: Characters you really related to
I think I've always thought of myself as an outsider or an observer. I loved characters, but I could never see myself as a character. When I create characters, I put a little bit of myself in them but I think that's as far as it has gone.

@ArtCrumbs it's probably a quarter of the way started. So still a way to go, but as long as I focus I could make it to the end of the year. The focus is my issue...

@Rapphirica I second this notion too! I need to finish my stories which is something I'm working toward! Finishing stories are important too!
Re: When you have a character and you can't come up with a story for them.
I actually come up with characters and the story together. I flush both out as I come up with ideas on how both sides will work together. Characters are super important to the story for me, and if you have trouble coming up with a story make a list of what the character likes, and maybe that will spark a story.
The current story I'm working on started out with me just drawing random panels to get quick pages out but I grew a story from there.
The main character likes to eat a lot, so I developed a plot around her eating something that she shouldn't have and what happens in the aftermath of that plot point. I grew the world and story from just this idea alone because I decided the main character loved to eat food and sweets.
Not sure if this helps but I will gladly clarify anything!

@ArtCrumbs I love seeing myself evolve and change but I just never had the heart to change the name even if it lost its true meaning. It's like paying respect to the self I was back then, I like keeping those aspects since they meant something. I hope to see it evolve even more in the future too.

Ultimate success to me is knowing that my comics can make a change in someone's life. I want someone to get excited to see a new chapter or episode of mine and I want my worlds to be a safe place for those who want to escape. I want people to forget their bad or hard life even if it's just for a moment. Money is nice and all, but I do love the feeling of knowing I made a difference in just one person's life.
