Hi! This is about the reading page.
On desktop I used to use the keyboard's arrow keys to scroll down and flip to the next page.
With the new layout this is not possible most of the time and I have to manipulate the scroll bar and click the darkened margins.
Sometimes I can temporarily fix that by hitting the tab key so I suppose the input focus is not on the right element of the page.

Re: Comics taking a long time to load
Hi,
Maybe related to this, I get random HTTP 403 (Forbidden) on seemingly random page loads on desktop that solve themselves after several minutes. It already happened, although less frequently (and I didn't check the browser console at the time), on the older version of the reader.

Since my pages are designed for landscape oriented screens, I think I'll keep the webcomic type as a way to signal it's really meant for digital reading.
I work at a high enough resolution to print it but it would be quite the weird paper format. Also I use a larger font in the speech balloons than I would on print.

Meaning of Webcomics type
I have set my comic as a webcomic because it's originally posted page by page as I make them on a site built around this method, but on GC I have to upload it chapter by chapter and I'm now wondering if I should describe it as just "comic." Any thoughts on that? When I browse the site by comic type, I'm not sure the types have an actual meaning in a number of cases.

@ArtCrumbs This is what I did initially but I don't like the jump it creates from portrait to landscape. My pages being wide landscape can be considered to be all double page spreads and I don't think anybody would try to display two of them side by side. But I'm ok now with not having a portrait cover, it looks like it is mostly the series cover that is displayed here and there. Thanks for the help.

Thank you for the clarification, @ArtCrumbs. I had initially set the series cover that way, in the series settings. uploading a portrait image based on the first panel in the first chapter because, believe it or not, I haven't made any actual cover image in landscape format yet.
Then when experimenting with the Set Cover button on the pages hoping to set a chapter cover, I accidentally overwrote the series cover with almost the same image.
I did some testing for a chapter cover image by splitting the first page in two but am not happy with the result. My layout is really intended to fill in landscape screens with no scrolling. I have left the chapter cover to automatic in spite of the conflict in the orientation.
Then when experimenting with the Set Cover button on the pages hoping to set a chapter cover, I accidentally overwrote the series cover with almost the same image.

I am on a Windows 10 PC, tested in Google Chrome 115 (latest version), same Chrome in Incognito mode to discard session cookies that might interfere, MS Edge Chromium 115 (latest version), Firefox 114 (not the latest version, currently stuck updating itself).
Contrarily to what I said yesterday, clicking Leave does display the search results.
My guess is that since the search box is part of an html form element and the form does not get submitted with a submit button, there might be a sentry against leaving the page and the form "unsaved."
Also, my apologies for not posting this in the Bug forum, I was trying to search posts about cover images in this section when I encountered the issue, and I lost track of where I was.

I had considered solution 1 but abandoned it because of the blank space.
I am almost able to use solution 2 right away as the first page of the first chapter starts with a vertical panel. I will experiment with splitting the page after it (not two equal halves though).
There's a third solution which I thought would work, selecting that vertical panel directly from the first page set as a cover, but I discovered that the "Set as cover" function sets the cover of the series, not the chapter.

Using a chapter cover not from the comic
My comic is optimized for landscape orientation. However the cover images have to be portrait oriented, and the only way I found to have that is to add a portrait page into my chapter and set it as the cover. If I delete the page afterwards, the cover is lost.
Cannot search forum
When using the search box at the top of a forum section (not the top search box for comics), I get a browser alert that my changes will not be saved. Whether I click Leave or Stay, no search is done.

I eventually concluded that it worked this way but was still hoping for a workaround because the initial logic is boolean and, not boolean or. For instance:
Time travel: 45
Zombies: 119
Tick the Zombies checkbox, the results are:
Time travel: 1
Zombies: 119
I assume that an and logic caused the decrease from 45 to 1 . There is 1 story with both facets. And I'm very curious to find that one story with time traveling zombies, so I tick the Time travel checkbox. Alas, the logic switches to boolean or and the numbers reset.
I'm not sure I'm making sense. Anyway, thank you for this wonderful platform! I keep exploring it whatever the search system provides :)

I'm trying to wrap my head around how tag filters work when listing titles under the Comics tab. Say I'm looking for cyberpunk comedy. I tick the Humor checkbox and get a selection, then I tick the Cyberpunk checkbox and, instead of getting a shorter list of the titles that are both Humor and Cyberpunk, I get a longer list of the titles that are either.
At first I thought that the logic would be what I expected, because if you check a tag with few titles, for instance Theatre, most other tags disappear, hinting at a prospect of refining your search. Am I missing something?
