Where to lead source, Indie Manga Reviewers, and ARC copy acceptors.

Hi All,

This is an open call request for success stories in the English title indie manga market. (I know, super niche right?) I've been doing some research but can't seem to find the expansive space for this target demographic. A lot of sites where you could hope to post your stuff are barring English titles. It feels like a strange no man's land when you have a comic/not a trad comic.

Any help and insight is welcome.

- Success stories on lead gen and how (if social media, how did you make it from scratch)
- Know of Indie Manga Reviewers? Open to English-speaking creators
- Sources requesting ARC copies and PR packages

I think the biggest that come to mind would be Saturday AM, and those that have won the Manga Plus Contest by Shueisha, depending on what you are calling a "success story". I didn't clarify what you meant by that, and I think this is a topic that needs to be talked about more. Keiko also moved to Japan, just graduated from Japanese school, and freelances as a manga creator with her own sreies too. Classic Doujinshi success story. Here's some of the names I can think of:

Saturday AM: https://twitter.com/saturday_am
Manga Plus winners starting from September 2022 (first month) https://medibang.com/mpc/mom/202209/
Keiko: https://twitter.com/KeikoKup
Brandon Chen might count, though he seems mostly published but started Indie: https://twitter.com/inspiredmangaka
Austin Osueke/Eigo Manga is another group I'd look into: https://twitter.com/austinosueke + https://twitter.com/eigoMANGA
Midnight Cross has been successful and also has an amazing YT channel: https://twitter.com/MidnightXCross
AKA Zenko also does indie manga and is with a small publisher now: https://twitter.com/aka_zenko
Kanme Studios supports indie manga: https://twitter.com/Kanme_Studios
You might be able to find more English success stories by checking out the Comiket account as well: https://twitter.com/comiketofficial Comiket is the largest indie convention/s in the world, boasting over 700k in attendance 2x a year (Summer and Winter). They are expending into Spring and Autumn markets

Hope this can give you some information and leads!
