What part of drawing in general do you think is the hardest?

I know I struggle a lot with perspective and faces in particular. What about you all?

Backgrounds? Human anatomy? Animals? Coming up with good character design?

Action/fight scenes can really kick my butt. Dynamic poses and interesting, exciting perspectives, and then all the tricks you need to use to represent effects and motion. It's very easy to go too far or not far enough, and it can make or break your scenes.

Aside from hands? :D

I definitely have problems with coming up with character design, most of my characters either wear uniforms or clothes I own. That's how far my imagination goes.

I think I would struggle whole loads with environments/backgrounds but after doing one hand drawn bg scene when I started - I decided I needed to learn 3D to be able to consistently draw backgrounds. I looked at some of artists I like the style of, ie. Inio Asano, on how they integrate 3D backgrounds pretty seamlessly into their work - and now I highly recommend learning 3D. It's such a time saver.

I’m learning anatomy right now. Found it very intimidating at first.

Agreed! The face is hard. What is a face anyway? Lol

Probably hands and figuring out how clothing works in dynamic poses. Anatomy is difficult too. But I also find choosing a good color palette for a character difficult.

Perspective, anatomy, and color. I'm better at painting in grayscale than I am with color.

Lips, I can be hit or miss on Lips partly because it's the thing I draw the least.
