Superfan confusion

Hey guys. First off thanks for a great platform. I'm a little confused about how the super fan thing works. I set it for two days on a comic I have set to release Wednesdays. My assumption was super fans could read Monday and everyone else Wednesday. I went to promote the new comic today and it says it's still behind the super fan wall for another two days. In my publishing tools it says it's released. Is there a way to just remove the super fan thing from this one entirely so my readers can see today's strip on time?

Hello @Ravenwritindesk! I'm messaging you right now to let you know that I've seen your message and I am looking into the solution for you! Our apologies that you've run into a problem. We're working on it. Thank you for letting us know!

After looking through your pages, it looks like everything is working on my end. Are you still having problems?

I actually ended up deleting and reposting the comic without the the superfan two day pay wall. I think maybe I just misunderstood the way superfan works. If I want free to everyone on Wednesday with a two day superfan pay wall, do I make the release date Monday?

Which series are you trying to do this for?

Ok, I got an answer for you, when you set the Superfan settings in your creator profile, that is the number of days those who have donated within the last 30 days will have access to that release.

So say you set your release day on July 1st, this is the first day of the superfan counter. Anyone who has donated in the last 30 days will have access to your comic.
July 2nd is the second day, and anyone who has donated in the last 30 days will have access.

On July 3rd, it will revert to whatever the default status is, paid or free and be available for anyone to access. So yes, the day you set it to release is the first day of the timer. So however many days you want superfans to access it, that is how many days EARLY you make the release.

If you want it to be available for everyone on July 10th for example, and you want superfans to have a WEEK (7 days) of early access, you would set it for release on July 3rd. That way the 3rd through the 9th is the early access period, and on the 8th day, the 10th of July, it becomes the day it is available for everyone.

I hope that helps!

Publish date is date it gets published.

If you add superfan on top of that with early access, you delay public access by the amount of days you've set, however the release is still considered "published" :-)

Thanks guys. I appreciate the clarification.

I've added clarifying text in the UI now also, and you can change the superfan time after publishing!
