Re: What are you working on?

Getting back on the horse with issue 4 of the comic. Script is done and I'm just waiting for my artist's schedule to open up. Issue 5 - the halfway point of the story, woo! - is being drafting.

Anyone else receiving a lot of unsolicited generic requests?

I've gotten 3 in the last 24 hours. Always starts the same: account less than a month old, loves my comic (statement made in the most generic way possible - and no recent views on my comic to let me know if they actually read it), and eventually an ask to be hired or to pay them to collab (which is the same as hiring really).

Tricks for standing out with the flood of new content?

Hello everyone,

With the flood of growth on this site over the last 6 months what tactics are people using to guide eyes to their comics? I only have two releases out there with a third on the way (slow development cycle), but I have no idea how to start standing out from the noise.

Re: What are your 2025 creator or publisher goals?

Right now it's release issues 3 and 4 of the comic in 2025. Once issue 4 is ready to go it'll be marketing and trying to find a way to get the story in front of as many eyes as possible (and recoup some costs, maybe). It's a slow burn since it's all out of pocket, but the library is going to grow.

Re: What does "ultimate success" mean to you?

Getting the story in front of as many eyes as reasonable and having those people enjoy it and become engaged with the content. Eventually success will also mean getting all 10 issues out and moving on to the next series. Maybe developing a fanbase along the way. Monetization as a measure of success is something to keep an eye on, but ultimately to be revenue neutral would be nice.

Re: I'm New To This Platform, Is It Worth It?

At the moment, absolutely worth it. The team is interested in growing the platform (signing DC is a huge step) and hopefully that'll translate into a trickledown to the smaller indie creators.

There is a bit of a looming curiosity around getting too swamped with AAA comics that the indies will be snuffed into complete obscurity, but that's a long term worry.

Re: Do you maintain a schedule for creation of your comic? Do you use a buffer?

At the moment it's about publishing material as it's finished by the team to build up an open catalogue of content to try to attract readers. Then build up a buffer of one or two issues, then promote and adhere to a bit more of a rigid release schedule of issues.

Re: An offer for two indie comic characters to make a cameo appearance.

I can't offer up any characters due to non-earth timelines and whatnot, but this is a really cool concept.
