What are your 2025 creator or publisher goals?

It's that time of year again! What are your goals going into the new year?

Bonus Question: What did you accomplish in 2024 that you're proud of?

I'll go first.

GC related goal - I was able to finally launch a diary I've always wanted to do in 2024. For 2025, I'd like to be more consistent with it and put SOMETHING out each month for it.

Manga/Comic general goal - I was able to finally get published by a publisher (my Onami one-shot with Viz Media). My next goal is to get serialized with a publisher in the next year, and get Volume 1 of my series Godsbane done!

What are your goals? : D

Well, I am hoping to finish at least two issues of Tiny Tots this year, that doesn’t include the issue that goes live at the end of February. I have the next 3 issues of the comic fully pencilled and the issue after that his about 50% pencilled.

AND I am hoping to get a second title out that is set in the “Totsverse” It’s 100% written plot-wise I just have to go punch up the dialogue. Then actually work on the art.

My current goals for Alterria this year;

* Maintain my monthly schedule.

* Grow my audience, especially here on Global Comix.

Right now it's release issues 3 and 4 of the comic in 2025. Once issue 4 is ready to go it'll be marketing and trying to find a way to get the story in front of as many eyes as possible (and recoup some costs, maybe). It's a slow burn since it's all out of pocket, but the library is going to grow.

My goal for 2025 is to self-publish at least 3 books this year and do a few illustrative stories based on my comic characters.

@Kyanbu - I feel that! I'm also working on trying to be more consistent but NDA work keeps getting in the way! I did find that making a buffer definitely helped a lot before uploading, but it's hard to start now if you're already posting. yk?

@HCE IMHO, like YouTube, building that library really helps! Readers love being able to binge read, and as you grow it gets easier for them to do that, which helps you get more engagement in shorter periods of time. I see your work is free at the moment, I would strongly suggest an expiring paywall if you don't already have it set up to help earn some extra revenue.

@pkscomix - Oh, by illustrative stories, do you mean like one-shots?

pkscomix posted Apr 10, 2025

These are a series of illustrations with captions that tell a story. I would put them together with theme music on video editing software to create slideshow presentations. The illustrations may be also used to publish in a web comic style horizontal scroll. Not sure really.

I hope I can build any campaign funds at this point and pay my artists to draw my manga. But it feels like its impossible.

What I want to do for my King of Justice comic is to get the Volumes done, and try to get them into book store shelves like Barnes & Noble and Walmart. Since my comic is manga-styled (but Western reading format), it would be awesome to be in the same shelves as all the other manga!
