GlobalComix is proud to announce a slate of activities in support of Black History Month, and Black creators in the comics, manga, and webcomic industries.
Here's a breakdown of what we've planned for the month:
- Dedicated Black History Month Collection features in the GlobalComix app and on our web homepage
- A variety of blog content including interviews, features, and special articles celebrating the historical contributions Black creators have made to the comics industry
- Regular promotion of series from Black creators on our social media accounts
- A special edition of the GlobalComix Connects podcast with guest speakers, with our aim being a roundtable discussion
Finally, we will be organizing our first live-streamed GlobalComix Workshop on our YouTube channel, featuring a guest creator. The topic of this workshop will be "Creating Black Characters".
