Forum Rules and Guidelines

Welcome! The GlobalComix community is inclusive of everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, creed, ethnicity etc. This is a growing global platform so people may have different views on what constitutes acceptable language. This list should help you get a sense of what we think is an acceptable way to communicate around here.

Spammy or clickbaity titles
Please don't post in all capital letters or use misleading titles, excessive punctuation, non-standard symbols, etc. While everyone wants their posts read, we ask you to avoid using these types of tactics in order to bring more people to your thread. Let your post stand on its own merit. Threads violating this guideline will be deleted.

Hate speech and slurs
We don't allow language or imagery that:
- Promote racial/ethnic hatred.
- Are recognized as racial/ethnic slur.
- Allude to a symbol of racial/ethnic hatred.

If we notice this behavior, that person will be temporarily banned and given a final warning, after which any further violations will result in a permanent ban. So don't do it.

Extreme sexuality or violence
We don't allow language or imagery that:
- Refer to extreme and/or violent sexual acts.
- Refer to extremely violent real life actions.
- Includes pornography.

If we notice this behavior it will result in a permanent ban.

Real-life threats
We don't allow language or imagery that threaten violence in any capacity towards humans (or animals, for that matter). Doing this will result in a permanent ban, depending on how serious it is.

Distribution of personal information (aka. doxxing)

Releasing any real-life information about other users or GlobalComix employees without their permission will result in a permanent ban. Be nice.

Insulting others sexual orientation
We don't allow people to insult any aspect of anyones sexual orientation. It's 2017. Doing this will result in a temporary and a final warning, after which any further violations will result in a permanent ban.

Harassment and defamation
We do not tolerate insults or personal attacks, or ongoing harassment to other users, employees, or groups of people, by doing things like publishing private chat logs or shaming individuals.

It's possible to share strong constructive criticism without defaming or attacking someone. If you have a dispute with GlobalComix or other entities you can reach out to our community team.

Depending on severity, you will be given a temporary ban. Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific user with harassment can lead to more severe action. The idea behind this is to prevent any one user from consistently being uncomfortable in the forums.

Spamming or trolling
Don't do things like excessively communicating the same phrase, creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums, causing disturbances in forum threads (such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters), abusing the site features or posting off-topic comments or sharing links to other products.

Doing any of this will earn you a temporary or permanent ban, depending on severity.

We are not a billboard. Any links or advertising about non-beneficial, non-comic related businesses, organizations, or websites can result in a temporary ban.

Circumventing a suspension or ban
If you start posting on another account or have someone post on your behalf when you are temporarily banned will, surprise surprise, result in a definitive permanent ban.

Repeatedly violating any area of the GlobalComix Terms of Use or Forum Rules and Guidelines, including the above, will often result in permanent bans.

This policy is not language-restrictive. Language that falls under this policy will always be subject to the repercussions listed, whether it is inappropriate in English or any other language.

Any questions or comments about these rules should be directed to our community team.
