PSA: don't fall for it!

Just received an email from a scam bot telling me I have been banned from globalcomix. Do not respond to these emails!

Thank you for the report. We are currently investigating and working to resolve this. These are scams and likely phishing attempts.

I just got one as well. They try to set themselves as a "no-reply" named account. Their name on my email was "no-reply@mg.globalcomix.com" Never click any link until you've gone through the proper channels to confirm. Hell the person I live with sent me a link once and I walked to their room and asked if they sent it. >.<

This is what the scammer sent in my email:

"Your account has been temporarily suspended. Complete the verification.".

Confirmed, I got a similar email from no-reply@mg.globalcomix.com at 7a Pacific time. I foolishly clicked on the link and it took me to a verification process with a chat window open. I closed the window then clicked further which brought me to a page where they wanted my Visa account number. That's where I closed the window without entering any of my information. The email came bundled with 2 emails listed, "You were mentioned in a status post by 99438" and "You were mentioned in a status post by SystemAlert".
