Incosistency in back button behavior in Android App

Clicking android back when browsing a comic in creators catalogue doesn’t yield same result as clicking back button on page
Step 1: Go into search -> creators -> any creator -> any comic
Step 2: Click the back button on top left side of the side-panel -> goes back to comic list as expected
Step 3: Go back to the comic info. Now instead click android back -> goes 1 step more back into creator lists.
