Opinions on weird format?

Hi everyone--

I'm new to webcomics and have started a weekly series that is still in its first few installments.

Being an enthusiast for golden-age comics, I for some reason thought it would be cool to draw this in the format of 1920s-40s newspaper adventure serials. It seemed like the obvious way to do a page-a-week story.

I'm not sure if this is okay for a webcomic, though, and I'd like some people's opinions on it while it's still in its infancy. Since I'm having to draw these fairly fast, I'm mostly wanting to know if it has good readability and page structure rather than stellar art quality. 

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
