App not working on IPAD IOS 12

I can download the app but just automatically shuts down as soon as I start up. Not had it going yet and I’ve just bought globalcomix gold subscription. It’s a sad start😭😭Can someone help please? I bought an ipad just so I could use the app! I’m using an Ipad Air 1st gen too with IOS 12.5
