Issue 1
We Called Them Gods- #1 "The Bleed"
Meet John. He has the Bleed. He needs a Violent Anchor and some Slurry because his Umbra is losing grip on reality. Let me translate the parasitic alien conciousness on his brain is failing. He needs a serious Zap to his dome so the parasite can reposition, re-anchor itself into John's pre-exisiting neurology. And the Slurry, well its just a drink that maximizes success of the treatment. Just a home made brew made in a blender from human organs with high mitochondria concentration. Fresh heart is best. The side effects of the Violent anchor are temporary. As the umbra gets snyg on John's cortex it can fire off pathways which lead to some lucid memories. A nuasance is all since he needs to get home to his daughter and he has to work. Ya he has a job. He is wealthy in fact. Arms dealer is a job that pays pretty well. John has had many jobs over the years though. Well he has been at it for 20,000 years in one incarnation or another. Becuase John isn't really John, He is his Umbra, one memeber of an alien consortium thats been marooned on earth for 20,000 years.
Issue 2
We Called Them Gods-#2 "Rent Free"
Meet Jack. He was dying, now he is not. Umbra inhabitation does wonders, makes the vessel more durable. But there is just one problem. Jack is different, Jack's conciousness does not submit to anything, he is a Unicorn. Sharing a body with two separate conciousnesses is unpleasant and not sustainable. Like, what do you do when you have to pee? They gotta figure this out.
