Welcome to the Fantasy Book Club, where reality-denying liars come to hang out... at least according to Fiona. Hope you enjoy your stay. *note* I am currently in the process of updating some of the art in the first chapter. I'm not redoing everything, just a few panels here and there to be closer to my current style.

There was a girl in school who was constantly checking out the books I wanted to read. If I was on a waiting list it was because of her. For a while there, it was uncertain if we were going to become friends because of it... or enemies. /rant

It's a double update! Since this was originally formatted as a comic book page spread I decided to put this entire segment together. Hope you enjoy!
This illuminated manuscript appears to have a slime problem... I have a mild obsession with 13th-century illustrations so I did a ton of research for these two pages. The way monsters especially were portrayed in them is absolutely fascinating to me.

For those wondering... Yes, I did put a lot of time and effort into designing the Standish house knowing full well I was going to blow it up halfway through the first issue. Did it break my heart? Yes. Was it fun as hell to do? Also, Yes.

Next week you will be getting a double update! On Wednesday I will post some between issue bonus content and Saturday Issue 2 will begin. I hope you're ready. <3
