Hello and please, call me Mary.
I picked up drawing since I was four and have not stopped since. My favourite art style is cartoon and my favourite genres are comedy, romance, fantasy and sci-fi. My favourite thing to draw are monsters/fictional races.
I am just going to put this out there as a woman who wants inspirational female characters in fiction. I noticed the sexist double standard that a male character can go through the meat grinder and come out of fine, but female one comes out hardened, jaded, traumatized, colder and a shadow of what she used to be.
This is in fact a very bad message to girls because it reinforces the falls stereotype that only boys are unbreakable and can bounce back from trauma while girls can't or else they will get shattered. This is not true, right or ok. It needs to change.
