man, dishing with her friend Mike could be like free therapy they really have wholesome conversations and it seems like Mike really gets her and understands how she thinks it's really good the unreal stuck with therapy because that's going to help her in the long run and I really think she'll make improvements especially avoiding alcohol.
lennonade1964
man, George is incredibly manipulative he played without like a fiddle right now and I honestly don't blame Val for falling for it because obviously she's got Hang-Ups from her family like the nadaing and having a status of class so man George really knew what to say to get her to let him stay there. plus if he wasn't using so to speak why was he drinking alcohol?
lennonade1964
it's good that Darcy was able to recover from that big lie but honestly it makes sense why Monroe would react that way given the fact that she's gone through so much trauma to find a man that's very sweet and honest and for her to experience a lie from him can be a very big deal I imagine
lennonade1964
oh man that is a seriously awkward moment when Monroe cast George but it's really not her fault. oh Darcy is big time and trouble because he lied lied about a whole sibling that is a crazy lie to do.
lennonade1964
every single day that you avoid drinking alcohol is a Day of victory. everyday of sobriety is a day to be proud. so I really think that her younger self would be proud of her for making the change even after 10 years of going through what she went through with Dave. it's worth noting that she's trying and I think that's what's important four days is a great start.
lennonade1964
it is truly sick how Dave thinks about Monroe. I mean, I want to say I can't believe it, but I can believe it. he is nothing short of evil and I fear for Monroe's safety when Dave is around. that poor girl is going to get tossed around like a rag doll by his abusive behavior until he tries to crush Monroe into submission. what a piece of crap!
lennonade1964
oh my God I cringed so hard when I saw Dave squeeze his eyes shut and whine that she's been his girlfriend since they were 17. he looked like such a little boy it was so embarrassing oh my God I can't believe how embarrassing that was for him. he really has no reason to whine and cry he threw her away he can't be sulking and that Kenny guy gets it, Dave is a piece of crap and deserves what he got.
lennonade1964
Monroe really saved herself from an awkward situation by almost dying under the ice there. although I'm curious to see what Darcy would have said if he had more time. plus the straight mixer was a good idea instead of using alcohol.
lennonade1964
Darcy is super awful to have our Darla through that, but I can understand operating in a fashion where you act according to what people expect you to act like. I can see one of those things kind of snowball out of control when you have to be a perfect person and you let things get out of control. it can be a difficult thing to deal with and people kind of get hurt as collateral but you never really intend for them to get hurt.
lennonade1964
it was nice of Darcy to really lay into Val to make her give up the cabin after being so abusive to Monroe. I'm glad that Monroe was able to open up about that instead of hiding it. it's so cool that Darcy is able to open up about his past addictions. it's really sad that he went through those but it's nice that he's able to open up about those experiences and help relate to Monroe a deeper level.
lennonade1964
it's really a shame that trauma had such a negative effect on Monroe. it is true though with therapy she'll be able to grow around it and not have to deal with such pain. at least on not such a deep level. it was really considerate of Darcy don't want to call her a cab. it's good that she gone to therapy and talk to her psychiatrist they are right though she really needs to quit drinking because he mixing medication with alcohol can be very deadly. I really hope she considers getting help with her alcoholism.
lennonade1964
@lennonade1964: to want to call her a cab*
lennonade1964
really Monroe has nothing to worry about I know she has to hang ups about being a midlife crisis but those Hang-Ups about her seeing them as a real couple are just a misunderstanding. her and Darcy get along so well that the only reason why she could feel that way is just from trauma because there's legitimately no reason for her to be worried. Darla although she's only met her in small contacts really is no threat to her whatsoever.
lennonade1964
it was really unfair of Valerie to feign that she approves and then when she got Monroe alone she treated her like crap, honestly it's a very cowardly thing to do. to pretend you approve and then to be all salty afterwards I really don't approve of that myself. it was really unfair to her and basically break her down and treat her like she's not a person just because of the relationship. it was really cool of Darcy and Monroe to get along and watch some movies and eat together and to bond. I felt like it was a really wholesome moment. it's nice that Monroe's can unwind and bond with her friend Mike about these things too.
lennonade1964
for someone who really worried about her precious boy, Dave's mom sure raised a piece of crap. I'm in maybe after all the way she talked about Monroe at that time probably fueled his belief that other women are pieces of crap. either way she did a really crappy job raising a son. plus Dave picked a really bad time to say I love you. I really hope things go differently for Monroe this time.
lennonade1964
that's really sweet the way he asked her to meet his sister. although because she's not the very emotive type, I'm very concerned things will go badly. Monroe is a very nice person and I would hate for something to happen because she shows expressive happiness with being with Darcy. it's super cool that Darcy is feeling this way. it's nice that he's excited.
lennonade1964
geez it is ridiculous how bad this guy treats every woman around him. his parents obviously failed him in raising him how to treat women. so what, he threw away the relationship he actually wanted and instead will mistreat the woman he's actually with that he just a few chapters ago said truly understood him and made a huge deal about how she's the one for him. and to mistreat her by standing up and basically throwing her on the damn ground. to gaslight her and mistreat her into trying to change her into the woman he can't have that is just insane.
lennonade1964
I think a home-cooked meal after a very turbulent day is a much more intimate setting and can actually be a much more romantic date than going somewhere fancy. why was Darcy so pensive when Monroe brought up siblings? I can't believe Dave is basically hovering and stalking. I mean I actually can believe it, it's just really embarrassing for him. it's so apparent that she's moved on dude!
lennonade1964
if Dave really wanted to be with her, he really shouldn't have thrown away everything they had together for nine whole freaking years. he can't just dip out and come back whenever he wants. now the Monroe actually knows what genuine contact is like she doesn't have to worry about his crap anymore. he tried to talk all tough to Darcy but he just looked really really small doing that. there's no way he thought anybody would take him seriously.
lennonade1964
it's very good that she was able to recover from missing a week of contact with Darcy. it's wonderful that he was very open to hearing her out and that they stayed together. now he knows who the Dave guy is. they are very wholesome together.
lennonade1964
on one note she's really lucky she didn't totally blow it with Darcy on another note she's really lucky that she didn't get a fired missing a week of work is like totally a reason to be fired so if she keeps her job I'm going to be amazed. she will be very lucky then. no communication with anybody for a week is crazy but I mean what was Dave doing the whole time then? after being ignored for a week he should have just left her alone.
lennonade1964
him saying he loves her is so fucking irritating. he's like "oh I don't want to lose you". yeah you didn't lose her you straight up gave her up. if Monroe didn't get that call from Mike, she would have forgotten her meds. Val seems so judgemental, I would be so frustrated talking to her.
lennonade1964
the mission was a success. all in all it was a good night for both of them. oh man a real date would be nice. I can't believe that loser would show up again. he is so irritating.
lennonade1964
Monroe can't call it quits now, she has to commit. she's laying the ground work to really piss her off. of course his ex wife is gossiping like a mean girl at the party. that kiss is sure to do that trick.

it's really good that Monroe was able to open up a Darcy about her traumas. it's a real shame that her dad was always drunk all the time it's nice to know that you had a few weeks at a time where he was a good father it's a shame he wasn't like that all the time. hopefully Darcy meeting her dad goes a lot better than when Monroe met Val.
