Calavera, better known as the Grim Reaper, is no longer the fascinating and terrifying figure he once was. Denigrated by his colleagues in the Otherworld, the intermediate space that allows souls to transit to their next destination, he also suffers from an unflattering reputation among the living. Burn-out is looming and a vacation is in order. But without death to regulate life, the throes of conflict are gaining territory...

We've all had those moments where we want to stick it to our bosses and go on vacation and do what we want to do. This is that feeling and I loved seeing it lived out with the Grim Reaper. I really enjoyed this twist on the legend! Can the Grim Reaper himself figure out who and what he is with the modern world moving on around him? It's a big mood.

Beautiful artwork, backgrounds, and a mystery to keep us guessing on where this journey will take her on a journey of self discovery, for better or worse. I'm really looking forward to the next update of this one. It's very nostalgic for some of the shojo and josei maga I've read in the past. Very lovely title.
The Junkwoods, 77 pages - Published by Sweet Tooth Eddy, (cc/ @SweetToothEddy)
Valentino, a biologist with a struggling drug addiction, gets lost with his team in the Junkwoods. An abandoned city covered in a permanent fog, man eating vegetation, and horrible creatures aptly called Myths. Now their only hope of survival is to rely on two creepy strangers, Jaybird and Wendy. Will they escape or end up fodder for the local stories.

A Coworker intoduced me to this one and I'm glad took the time to check it out. It's a beautifully drawn manga, and I really appreciate the imperfect hero/main character. They're clearly trying, and I'm rooting for them, just please stay safe! Giant mosquitos are definitely not very fun. I love the world design of this place, and can't wait for the next issue!

A dark fantasy comic series of otherworldly adventure, horror, and romance. When Anna Parsley moves back to her coastal hometown, she is drawn back in to an eerie Other World, and must face supernatural mystery and danger she thought she had left behind.

Have you ever left your hometown for a period of time and you come back to see that things are different? This is kind of like that, except things are super dangerous and scary. It's interesting as all the strange happenings are why our hero Anna left in the first place, but coming back, it's even worse than she remembers! I'm hoping to see another update from this one, as I really love the heavier use of black and the incredible detail these pages have. Great work!
