The Scourge of Ninepoint, 13 pages - Published by McKay & Gray, (cc/ @BonesMcKay)
The Ninepoint Empire has suppressed the calicos for centuries. The kittezens rest in peace knowing that this “calico scourge” is disposed of. At least, that’s what they thought. Marble, a rare male calico, manages to escape his fate when he is adopted by a family of raccoons. As he grows he comes to learn about the world he escaped from. Meanwhile, the true scourge encroaches on the life of peace Ninepoint and beyond is accustom to.

Two souls, intertwined by destiny is one of my favorite types of stories, and this one is all about CATS! The naming conventions, world lore, everything is so clearly well-planned, humorous, and the art style is just perfect. It's got that old-fantasy look and feel, along with a well-executed flow for vertical reading. And cats, lots of adorable cats, raccoons, and other creatures. Fantastic work, team!
Escape From Bitch Mountain by Comic Book Slumber Party, 112 pages - Published by Avery Hill Publishing, (cc/ @AveryHillPublishing)
Far famed for its cruel Warlock overlord, Bitch Mountain is the deadliest destination on any adventurer's map. But with its rumoured riches and guaranteed bragging rights, it's a quest that Greasy can't refuse... even if it forces her to face the hangover from hell and, her most dire peril yet, the Friend Zone! Can she fight her way out of the depths with her treasure (and her dignity) intact?
Story and Art by Abs Bailey, Amy Chase, Atla Hrafney, Lauren Burke, Nicole Miles
Hilarious, relatable, and no-nonsense! Just how I like my bad-assery. I adore the art style and blunt nature of our hero, Greasy. Multiple artists worked on this, and you can see the art style shift, yet it's never jarring. It blends in seamlessly with the occurings in the story. It feels very meanwhile-comic or anthology, but it's all one long amazing event! I would love to see more books organized this way.
Nomads: The Sky Kingdom, 255 pages - Published by BOOM! Studios, (cc/ @GCpartnerships)
Lance never wanted to be a Nomad, but on his 19th birthday he gives up his homeland in the Sea Kingdom and starts his journey to find his missing brother–his first destination: the Sky Kingdom. However, things take an unexpected turn when he meets the mysterious Satra and the magical cat Saber who imbues Lance with supernatural powers. When the two decide to join Lance, it ignites a series of misunderstandings that will chase them throughout the kingdoms, branding Lance as a kidnapper with bounty hunters competing for their capture. Together, the trio will face unexpected foes, mysterious new creatures, and their own deep secrets as they band together on a quest to find Lance’s missing brother and, perhaps, company to call home.

Life's an adventure and traveling in search of a family member can be motivating. The character design, humor, and world building is beautiful! Little "cat" is so cute and spicy, like the little purrito they are. LOL It's drawn so well, and I love the humor. Comedy isn't usually my strong suit with comics, but it's well placed. Colorful, strong design, funny, it's a perfect manga!
Trinity Saga: Unchained, 174 pages - Published by melonparfait, (cc/ @melonparfait)
In a time of global unrest, information broker Lucille Fortune finds herself captured by the Vladik Empire, a nation determined to bring the world under its rule. Her captor? Ignis, a mysterious man operating under orders by Callux, the empire's second-in-command. To escape, Lucy must forge new bonds, reconcile with her past, and learn the truth behind the very man who captured her.

Light-hearted and flirty, I'm curious how Lucy intends to get herself out of this sticky situation. Lime is an absolute sweetheart, a real golden-retriever type character, and one of my favorite types of characters. I'm really wondering what the connection between Ignis and Lucy is, because I get the feeling there is more than meets the eye. I've got more to read, but I definitely have really enjoyed the first few episodes. It's never a dull moment, and Lucy really is such a fun character! Love her so much! I see why she likes Ignis though. OwO
