Orla O'Reilly, the youngest in a long line of hedge witches, is compelled to return home after the death of her grandmother, Mamo. In the wake of her Mamo's passing, seas are impossible to fish, crops have soured, and even Jo Manalo's attic is taken over by a poltergeist! And to make matters worse, it appears that the cause is Mamo, or her mislaid bones, that is. Can Orla shoulder the responsibility of quieting her Mamo's spirit, and saving her hometown? And will she have to step up as the new witch of Haresden like Mamo always wanted? Collects Mamo #1-5.

Comments from @ArtCrumbs:

Sorting out affairs after a family member passes away isn't easy, and it can take a long time. A really long time in some cases. Digging up hidden bones and burying them in the proper places would certainly take a long time. It's an intriguing situation that makes me wonder exactly how long will this take? What exactly does a hedge witch do? What other types of witches are out there?? Combine that with beautiful artwork and immersive environments, and it's easy to get lost in this title!

The Mushroom Knight, 105 pages - Published by Mad Cave Studios, (cc/ @chrisfernandez)

A chivalrous faerie mushroom embarks on a quest to uncover a clandestine threat that has brought calamity to his magical woodland kingdom. An adolescent girl from northwest Philadelphia desperately searches for her lost dog. As their destinies coalesce, a whimsical friendship forms. But peril is nigh, and their respective journeys threaten to challenge the foundation of their realities… and reality itself. David the Gnome meets David Lynch in this boundary crossing ecological fantasy filled with humor, horror, depth and delight.

Comments from @ArtCrumbs:

The word "sonder" is the profound feeling you get when you realize that everyone around you had a life as complex as your own. That's how I would describe the experience of reading this, except it applies to the smallest of worlds around us that we overlook. Nature is vibrant and alive, and the characters within it are fascinating. With bizarre characters, some aligned with chaos, some out to help others and maintain balance, it's a wonderful peak into the hidden worlds around us.

Witches' Quarter, 147 pages - Published by Brale Studios, (cc/ @BraleStudios)

As demons start creeping in through the Witches' Quarter, its protector must rise to the occasion and stop them from invading the human world.

Comments from @ArtCrumbs:

Never sign a contract without knowing the terms folks! Well, maybe when you're on the edge of death... that might be a valid exception. Absolutely wonderful paneling and action. Dynamic panels and creative storytelling here. I really enjoyed the "skull carrying" mentorship going on, I don't think I've seen anything like that before. I think this one has a lot of potential, don't sleep on it!

Moon Descendants, 36 pages - Published by Mythical Mya, (cc/ @MythicalMya)

A curse strips wolves of their primal forms, but the Moon Goddess gives them lunar gifts for adaptation. Shiro and Haida, lacking these, face pack exclusion. Destiny beckons for a special task, sending them on a quest uncovering wolf history's dark secrets. Encounters with enemies and allies challenge their beliefs. Are old foes real antagonists or is an insidious force at play in wolf society?

Comments from @ArtCrumbs:

It's not easy when your fate is "pre-determined" due to the circumstances of your birth. I've read the first 5 or 6 releases so far, and I love the chemistry between Haida and Shiro. It's an adorable friendship that doesn't feel loaded with "having to be something more" to be an endearing set of characters. I absolutely loved the beautiful art and story at the introduction. It's comfortable and familiar in a way. I think if you like Wolf's Rain, Off White, or Gin, read this!
