Feedback: 'Patty Girl Jock: Bad Actors' Issue #1 and #2
hey all,
I am new here and excited to be around so many talented people here. Hoping to get some input from my series 'Patty Girl Jock: Bad Actors'. I just completed issue #2.
My tools are Maya, ZBrush and Photoshop. No AI is used. I dont see many others doing work with computer software (3D rendered) so I hope I am well-received. I have a great passion for storytelling, dialog and visuals. Comics are a great medium and I am happy to be here. Here is a link to my series:

Hi @tenflex, OK, everyone's got their thing. Your stuff is different. That's OK too. I don't think I'd be a great fan, but just giving some support here for 3D digital render comics. There are a handful of us on here. I use DAZ Studio with custom shaders, photoshop and final comic assembly in an old Macromedia Flash program. I'm a newbie on here trying it out to create mini-screen phone comics. I usually work on big screen productions 1920 x 1080, which I love, but I'm trying my hand at the tiny stuff. I don't have anything published here yet, still testing.
BTW, how do you load graphics in this forum? I don't seem to have any image buttons to load some samples. Regards Buddy, cheers.
hey @Zmax. Thank you for the reply and the kind words of support. I wasnt familiar with the mini-screen phone comics. Is used by the app called Tinyview? https://www.forbes.com/sites/evaamsen/2020/01/26/science-comics-made-to-be-read-on-smartphone-screens/
DAZ is popular with a lot of people and I havent used it, but it can get you up and running quickly to get content out. As with any 3D rendered stuff, the setup time of building your assets takes the most time. I'm a big fan of good lighting too, so my setups probably take longer.
To post images here, you need to link to an image you have hosted somewhere and then use the IMG tags on each end. I also see that when you edit a post the image button tools display at the top.
OK, thanks again and good luck with your project! Its a great feeling to see it all come together!
OK, cool, I'll keep at it. The problem with phones and small screens is that if you work on big screen productions as I do, 1980 x 1080, F11, on a 32 inch screen, when viewed in a phone viewport, the text is unreadable. If they zoom in to read the text, the graphics become stupidly big. If you make text viewable for phones on big formats, the text looks absurd and stupid on a normal monitor. IMO, you have to make comics for one or the other. And then of course, there's the print guys. Different again. It's hard to cover all the markets. Cheers.
I hear you. I'll leave you with my opinion (suggestion) about the format: create short scenes with more visual emotions and less (or no) dialogue. Maybe a character who discovers a truth about him (or her) self or a story that leads to a twist in a visual way. Be prolific. Do it a lot and keep building and experimenting. Dream big! Cheers!
