I Heart Skull-Crusher!, 30 pages - Published by BOOM! Studios, (cc/ @GCpartnerships)
18-year-old Trini will do anything to compete in her favorite sport, Screaming Pain Ball, alongside her longtime hero Skull-Crusher! But she can't do it alone, and a gaggle of misfits is just what she needs to cross the American wastes and battle in Queen Mob's deadly tournament. With Trini's dreams of being just like Skull-Crusher on the line, do she and her friends have what it takes to win a coveted spot on their team? Breakout writer of DC's Amazons Attack event and screenwriter Josie Campbell (Wonder Woman, She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power, My Adventures With Superman) along with rising star artist Alessio Zonno (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) bring sports action to post-apocalyptic America with comic relief and brevity at its brutal heart.

Easily one of my favorite comics that I've read recently. The indomitable spirit of Trini, her creative thinking and sheer love for her sport, it's so inspiring. She comes across as someone who can make sweet lemonade from the most sour of lemons. Everything about this is fantastic. I do fear for Trini though, they say to never meet your idols. I have to wonder if her journey to Bubble City will be worth it...
The Bardic Verses, 84 pages - Published by Band of Bards Comics, (cc/ @BandofBards)
The Bardic Verses are the stories of Martiln Swordhand, son of legendary warrior Searoar Swordhand. Instead of picking up a sword and becoming a warrior like his father before him, Martiln chose a lute and became a bard; a singer/storyteller. A love letter to traditional comics, tabletop RPGs, and sword and sorcery books. The stories within pay tribute to noir comics, Disney movies, Bill Watterson, Ryan Ottley, Rob Liefeld, Jack Kirby, and more!

Having big shoes to fill can be inspiring or stressful. Martlin Swordhand has incredibly big shoes to fill, and I admire his drive to stick to his own choice and learn to live with that. In a weird way, I found it pretty relatable as an artist, having society set expectations on you. I think though, a lot of readers will find this relatable, and enjoyable! There's so many hidden easter eggs! I'll have to re-read to find them all!
SASHIMI, 65 pages - Published by MAKO VICE, (cc/ @mako-vice)
★SASHIMI★ "Jun" desires the perfect body. As a consequence she will take whatever from whoever to achieve it. Stripping every trait, gift, and characteristic from those around her even from beyond the grave. Amongst her countless victims she lures. A young woman named “Kimiko” shows a promising trait. But both of these women have secrets and all is not what it seems.
Story and Art by MAKO VICE
Wishing we had traits of the people around us is pretty normal, we all have things about ourselves that we wish to improve. Jun takes that to a whole new level! It's a bloody feast of only the finest specimens, though you don't want to get too close! Jun might want something from you! I did enjoy the ending, very well done and not expected in the slightest. Great work, Mako!
Sun House, 120 pages - Published by Parakid, (cc/ @parakid)
After being fired from his job, Max becomes a shut-in with no motivation. In an attempt to bring him back to his usual self, his mom sends him to her sister's farm to work. There, he meets a new friend that might be changing his outlook on life.

When life gets you down, sometimes you gotta step back a bit. Going away to the countryside to sort yourself out sounds like something I'd enjoy, to be honest. It's been cute to read this and see Max slowly coming out of his shell. I've definitely been rooting for him. It's a wholesome story of coming back from adversity.

So glad I discovered GlobalComix. I had not read any comics not from the big 2 publishers prior to this, now I’m spoilt for choice! the quality of some of the comics I’ve read on here are fantastic! I will definitely continue to subscribe. would love to see more comics support panel by panel reading. I would also like a tab that lists all the publishers available on the app. keep up the great work!
