The art here is very very impressive. I mean the colors and the line work. Really nice.

this is a very nice work, but I have a question what made you guys go with this route on how you portrayed the Orishas? cos it doesn't really follow myths, just inquisitive

WiseAcreComics

@ClimbingLivelyEngineer: The story is somewhat personal to me and my family. But to answer you question, I decided to weave elements of the Orishas into my story because I wanted to share these cultural figures with a wider audience. While I don't strictly follow the original myths, I hoped to celebrate the essence and spirit of these stories in a modern setting. It’s about taking something beautiful and traditional and finding a new way to tell a story that resonates today about struggle, strength, and finding one's power. This approach lets me highlight their virtues in a way that feels fresh and relevant.

I thought it was good and I’m going to continue reading, I do feel like some of the words that are put in bold or emphasized is a little overkill at times. other than that I’m invested and I love seeing more diverse stories 😊
