Lucas Wilson, a young teenager who thought he had the strength to stand up to anyone, suffered a terrible beating from a school bully and ended up in hospital. For his safety, Lucas with his family moved to Blackpool to start a new life; but on their arrival, an explosion of light from a crashing meteor provides Lucas with powers to run as faster as the speed of light. With the help from his new found friends, Lucas employs his powers to gain the courage and stand up to the criminals of Blackpool; so no one will ever have to suffer the same fate as he did.
