A companion piece to my comic Sunny, this collection follows individual stories of different characters that didn't make it into the main story but deserve to be told.

The mercenary mage Aleea belongs to a dying race of water elves, the Lahari. Decades ago, unknown enemies committed genocide against her people long before she hatched from her egg. Echoing the sumptuous golden age illustrations of Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac, with a twist of contemporary psychedelic horror, The Palace of Tears is the latest creation of Michael Lomon. Ten years in the making and traditionally pencilled and inked, this is an ambitious and uncompromising visual work.
