The mercenary mage Aleea belongs to a dying race of water elves, the Lahari. Decades ago, unknown enemies committed genocide against her people long before she hatched from her egg. She doesn't know that her father was a dragon, but everything inside her screams fiercly to first find out what was done to her people... and to take bitter revenge. She is just an adept, her magical powers are limited. And since she is young, she also lacks the life experience and hardenedness to take on the dark forces with which she will soon have to deal.
