Aleea, the Waterelf sorceress, is on a secret mission and puts the "Squall", their human transport ship, into a dangerous situation. The sailors are hungry, there is no fish in the sea, these are "Dead Waters". They threaten to eat her Mermaid servant Pearly in order not to starve. Aleea needs to get advice from her favorite husband, the Sylvari elf Fanil. He tells her how the "Demonic Plague" came to his Home Forest when he was a kid, and how the demons caused a time of death and starvation. This is his story. Together with Aleea, we will learn how Fanil became the legend called "The Wanderer".
