Before the story about a child from foreign lands who forges the world, comes a PREQUEL, THE BETROTHAL, a FOUNDATION... before the series. My Deadly Beloved at its' heart is a samurai love story. It is a prequel story to the graphic novel series Sons of Fate. The story is about the meeting and circumstances that follow Lord Omo Jinjaku, and Lady Akemi at the end of the Warring States Era in Japan. Before they become the roots that hold up the Shogunate, and the mentors to the child from a foreign land trained in the ways of Bushido, they were mortal enemies: Sworn to destroy each other, the others' people and whole way of life, to enact a different realization for Japan. Their initial chance occurrence, situation, and. circumstance not only strengthens their feelings for each other.
