Foodtrip's theme revolves around the importance of Pinoy foods in fostering Filipino relationships - our families, friends, and communities - making our food a crucial element in the quintessential Pinoy culture. The story begins with Rex and his group of friends who are bonded together by their love for exploring foods: food trip! From the street foods they enjoy as a group on Fridays after school to different food innovations they explore on weekends to creative homecooked meals prepared by Rex for his family, Foodtrip highlights how Filipinos express their love and creativity through the food they share together. The story depicts how food, even the most modest and plain, becomes an essential part of our lives and our relationships. When Rex faced a difficult family situation, he and his friends join forces in a food quest that will test their friendship and Rex's love for his family. The story opens an exciting future for Rex who genuinely loves Filipino food. Follow Rex and the gang in Foodtrip!
