Five years after a major fantasy war there remains work to be done. One such loose end in a remote part of the kingdom of Fairhome serves as an opportunity for a group of misfit would-be adventurers. However, they may not all survive to even begin their mission.,

The assembled party is tasked with investigating a location related to the evil sorcerer who once tried to overthrow the kingdom of Fairhome. But before they can arrive at their destination, they must travel through The Merwood - a location haunted by the ghosts of elves. Except, how can elves be ghosts if they cannot die to begin with?
