What Heart? is founded by James Francis who began his career in comics at age twenty, illustrating with DC Comics, followed by a staff position in production with the company. After leaving New York, he has been published by Image Comics, Paradox Press, as well as other independent companies. What Heart? focuses on self-contained genre books.
