Here's a recap of this week's video:
New From Oni Press
Oni Press just unleashed a wave of fresh reads on GlobalComix, including four different Rick and Morty series—yes, four. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just need a good laugh, this is your week.
Alongside the Rick and Morty chaos, you’ll find titles like Agents of S.L.A.M., Biker Mice from Mars, and plenty more to round out your reading list. If you were looking for a reason to dive into some new comics, this is it.
Top 3 Picks
Not sure where to start? Check out our top 3 picks below.
1. Dancing on the Volcano, 255 pages - Published by Oni Press
When cartoonist Flo travels the globe for the first time without his boyfriend, Bas, he is too preoccupied with feeling homesick to really see any of the beauty around him. Even after many years together, do you still need distance between you in order to miss each other--or can you occupy the same space and still feel disconnected? Dancing on the Volcano is an autobiographical story about the painful but recognizable sides of love. We all know that a long relationship has many stages, but never before has someone portrayed all those different facets of love as beautifully as Floor de Goede in the original graphic memoir.
2. Biker Mice from Mars, 79 pages - Published by Oni Press
MARS! MICE! MOTORCYCLES! The next epic chapter of the Nacelleverse starts NOW with an ALL-NEW, ALL-ADRENALINE ADVENTURE for the free-wheelin’, butt-kickin' animation icons who ride the Red Planet’s hardest roads! Rocketing out of the pages of NacelleVerse #0 . . . the ‘90s cartoon sensation is back in a brand-new comic book series from red-hot writer Melissa Flores (Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Spider-Gwen: Smash) and Eisner Award–nominated artist Frances Portela (Green Lantern)! Best friends Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie were just three anthropomorphic, motorcycle-riding mice who called Mars home . . . and were always bad to the bone.
3. Rick and Morty: Rick's New Hat, 130 pages - Published by Oni Press
It's the penultimate chapter of the comics event of 2021, and it's all Morty, all the time. Can Morty find the secret to a happy life as a JOCK?! It's back to school for Morty, and Rick is along for the ride. The hat, too. It's just so...darn...nice.
Creator Shout-Out: IronVerse Comics
This week’s creator spotlight goes to IronVerse Comics, whose series Jack Irons: The Steel Cowboy has been part of the GlobalComix community for over four years.
A space western with a reincarnated immortal gunslinger facing down cosmic horror? Yeah, it’s as wild—and as awesome—as it sounds. If you haven’t checked it out yet, now’s the time.
