GlobalComix: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your work.

Vamp: I’m Vamp, I’m an actor, host, producer, ghost hunter, beekeeper, and lover of all things spooky. I like to say I’m the Vamp of all trades because I’ve got my claws in a lot of different things. I'm a creator and producer of my own projects like "The frightfully fun show for all ages!" THE FIENDS and my show and podcast Let’s Get Spooky. I’ve also published my own children’s book and have a clothing brand as well as a fragrance company, see what I mean, Vamp of all trades ;)

GlobalComix: What drew you to this project? What did you enjoy the most about it?

Vamp: I’m a huge Halloween fiend and when the opportunity arose to be part of such a fun project with some of my friends and some other amazing talent, I was honored to be a part of it. I really loved being involved in the process, from concept to seeing artwork, to lettering, we are all there along the way and it was truly magical to see it all come together.

GlobalComix: What would you say is the aspect of creating comics that you enjoy most?

Vamp: I feel like the sky is the limit when it comes to creating comics, you don’t have the obstacles that come with something like film. If you illustrate it and tell the story, you’ve got just what you need. It’s definitely not as easy as that, there is a lot of work involved, but there is really no idea that can’t be adapted and no story that can’t be told. And there’s something to picking up a book and flipping through the pages and getting immersed in a story. The digital aspect is also really cool too!

GlobalComix: Do you have a dream IP that you’d like to do a project for?

Vamp: I do, and it’s actually my own IP called The Fiends. The Fiends is a live-action puppet show as well as animation that is frightful fun for the whole family. More to come on The Fiends front and if you’d like to see more you can visit us at TheFiends.com

GlobalComix: What about horror comics do you love the most?

Vamp: I love when a comic can create the little bit of fear that has you on the edge of your seat and fiending for more. Comics paint the picture for you, but there’s also so much room for your mind to run with the story and fill in the blanks in between. The horror genre in general is a major love of mine and horror comics just hit the spot in my dark little heart, for some people it’s scary, but for me, it’s my happy place.

GlobalComix: Do you have plans to work with more large collaborations like this?

Vamp: My wheels are always turning and there is always something in the works, so make sure to stay tuned on my socials for more upcoming frightfully fun projects!

GlobalComix: What about vampires has captured your interest so strongly, and do you think you’ll focus on them in your career, or are you exploring comics about other cryptids in the future?

Vamp: I love the history and folklore of vampires and the culture surrounding it. I’ve been fascinated by it for as long as I can remember. Fangs are my ultimate fashion accessory and yes, Vamp is my real name! A Vamp comic is coming, so hold on to your hats, and you can bet you’ll be meeting some of my cryptid fiends as well!

We'd like to thank Vamp for her time chatting with us about gHosts and her experience in film, video production, cosplay, and comics. We're looking forward to seeing what she has in store next!
