“My aspiration from the jump has been to create a comic through the lens of culture and reflect it back to readers through relevant, relatable stories,” said Ian Grody, co-creator and writer of Lesser Evils. “We knew we wanted to set our stories in Brooklyn, because I’ve always believed that Brooklyn is a place of becoming and where people actively go to transform and reinvent themselves. Any place where there’s that much hope, desperation, and frustration is already full of magic to me, so having Brooklyn as the living, breathing heartbeat of our world was a no-brainer.”
