Zayda, a pirate girl seeking the truth behind her captain’s death, meets Arend, the son of a Dutch colonial officer. Together, they fight to uncover the injustice buried in the land of tin.
Set in early 19th century, inspired by the lives of Southeast Asian pirates in Banka Island.
In a single night, everything fell apart for Zayda. Their ship was torn apart by a sudden blast, leaving only drifting debris on the dark sea. Amid the smoke and wreckage, Zayda found the one she trusted most lying still—gone, along with the light that once guided her through every storm.
You did a great job creating that hot and humid atmosphere, it really makes the scene feel unsettling. But I'm still not quite sure what the comic is going to be about bcs this comic is too short and does not explains or hook anything .
Great work setting up the story with minimal pages! It seems clear to me that the main thrust of the story will be about the captain’s daughter becoming a pirate queen for revenge and honor. And if I’m wrong, I’m excited to find out! Either way, I’m hooked.
