I was born in the North West of England when it was in black & white and gradually made my way through the beige tones of the Seventies to the colourful weirdness that is the modern world.
I was a digital artist/graphic designer in the games industry for twenty years eventually moving on to teaching 2D/3D digital art at college level.
I now create graphic novels and design alt film posters.
Just completed revising my SF/Horror graphic novel 'PIPER JERICHO' for GlobalComix & ComixWellspring POD. It's creation stretches back to an idea I had what seems like eons ago. What if there was a connective tissue behind everything from ghosts, demons and general paranormal paraphernalia & modern high strangeness such as UAP's portals and cryptids? 'JERICHO' is the result. Taking about five years it's a love letter to classic Brit SF such as Quatermass, Doomwatch and John Wyndham crossed with a healthy dose of ALIEN, The Thing and a dash of Lovecraft. I'm on the final edit and should be uploading in the next few days...
PRESS RELEASE : In an era where governments declassify UAP encounters, military whistleblowers shed light on the unknown, and the paranormal edges into mainstream conversation, Piper Jericho emerges as a gripping, timely, and visually stunning graphic novel that takes readers to the heart of all things unexplained.
Offering readers an immersive experience that leverages the power of the graphic novel; author and illustrator Ade White visually shares with readers the unseeable through an atmospheric art style that masterfully complements his dark and complex story.
Tapping into the biggest questions of our time, this novel’s appeal is far reaching. From UFO enthusiasts to graphic novel aficionados, conspiracy theorists and fans of classic British sci-fi and horror stories, Piper Jericho draws readers in and invites them to question their understanding of reality.
Synopsis:
Unravel the threads of time with "Piper Jericho," where history's darkest secrets converge. From the chilling paranormal catastrophe of 1947 off Scotland's coast, to the mind-bending mysteries of Utah's Uintah Basin in 1953, and the nightmarish descent into horror on an abandoned oil rig in 1987, this graphic novel weaves a tapestry of terror and intrigue.
Follow an elite agent as she confronts the essence of reality itself, questioning identity and existence. Each event, linked by an ancient enigma, could herald humanity's salvation or its ultimate downfall. Prepare to question everything you know in this gripping journey through time, where the past is as dangerous as the future.
The author says:
“We are living in a world where the stigma of investigation into UFO's ( now UAP's ; ) the Paranormal and the highly strange science of consciousness is being broken down. More and more, governments around the world are admitting to the reality of things beyond our understanding.
From the very real but little known UK intelligence agencies 1999 'Condign Report' confirming the existence of UAP's in our skies, to the current US governments 'Transparency Taskforce' looking at the testimonies of highly trained military personnel describing their terrifying interactions with phenomena which defy understanding ( leaving some with verified legitimate long term medical effects requiring years of treatment ).
'PIPER JERICHO' was initiated five years ago as a love letter to the golden age British SF and Horror, the works of Nigel Kneale, John Wyndham. Combine that with the body horror of The Thing & ALIEN, the psychological cosmic terror of Lovecraft and you'll get a hint of what's in store. And it's publication could not be more timely, it's synergy with current events and the mainstreaming of the 'Phenomena' into the public consciousness is striking and more than a little, er, strange...
Of course it's just fiction, a beautifully illustrated 'what if'...but...what if it's not... ?”
