"The Anaether" involves a parent-child relationship as well as a (separate) complicated queer relationship. The protagonists struggle to escape their abusive, dysfunctional environment as they travel through the stars and carry out their missions as members of the Voyant Navy.

The story is an artistic exploration of the emotional turmoil in our memories. Each character has their own truth and journey. Each of us is free to think and honor the memory as we see fit. Love for our neighbor is our hope and salvation.
