Streaming from the void
Comic - Sci-Fi
In the year 2626, Earth has been devastated by climate change. Clean air is no longer a basic righ it’s a subscription service only the wealthy can afford.
The space corporation Cosmic Z launches a mission to the edge of the solar system. Officially, it’s a groundbreaking scientific expedition. In reality, it’s a profit driven scheme to scout and exploit extraterrestrial resources, just as Earth was once exploited.
To maximize revenue, the company turns the mission into a live streamed spectacle, casting a group of popular streamers as the crew and broadcasting every moment of their journey to the public.
But of course from the very beginning, things start to go wrong.
This story delivers a sharp critique of unchecked capitalism, the overreliance on artificial intelligence, and the environmental destruction caused by human greed.
Did I mention that all the characthers are cute antropomorfic animals?
Plan 59 from Outer Space
Comic - Sci-Fi
Back in 1957, Ed Wood brought us a movie about aliens who tried to raise the dead in order to destroy humanity in order to prevent us from causing a galaxy destroying weapon that they believed we would one day create. This was Plan 9 from Outer Space.
Obviously, plans 1 through 8 failed, and (spoiler alert, but frankly the movie has been out for 63 years now, so there shouldn't be much to spoil) so did Plan 9. But what happened in the years since 1957? Did the aliens just give up? Were they going to cease their plans to stop us and save the galaxy?

A failure of his voyage results in the loss of Zorrick’s entire team and Zorrick’s inadvertent transportation to an alternate ancient Egypt, where he is stuck. After informing Zorrick that he has committed a crime by inadvertently rupturing the fabric of the space-time continuum and transporting to ancient Egypt, Moreous offers Zorrick a chance at redemption by helping him hunt and destroy a powerful creature named Xenendorf. Only the successful elimination of Xenendorf will result in mercy and a return home for Zorrick, but failure or refusal to help Moreous would cause Moreous to destroy everything Zorrick holds dear. As Zorrick embarks on his exciting and dangerous adventures in the Multiverse, Zorrick begins to discover that Moreous is hiding the truth from him and that Xenendorf is not who Moreous made him out to be.

Pharos Keeper
Comic - Sci-Fi
In space, there are dark clouds known as “dark nebulae.” These clouds range in size and volume, much like the clouds in Earth's atmosphere. And just like their earthly counterparts, they can be dangerous to space travelers. But as humanity often does, it found a solution known as “Project Pharos.” The project involved a self-isolated station placed in the middle of the nebulae to warn off travelers and guide them through if truly necessary. These stations are operated by one person who is isolated for a year at a time. People have disappeared during this job, either because of madness or for some unknown reason. Our main character, Akir, is one of these pharos keepers, and we follow him through a year of isolation. Is space really that lonely?
