Lucas Wilson, a young teenager who thought he had the strength to stand up to anyone, suffered a terrible beating from a school bully and ended up in hospital. For his safety, Lucas with his family moved to Blackpool to start a new life; but on their arrival, an explosion of light from a crashing meteor provides Lucas with powers to run as faster as the speed of light. With the help from his new found friends, Lucas employs his powers to gain the courage and stand up to the criminals of Blackpool; so no one will ever have to suffer the same fate as he did. Dasher (a.k.a. Lucas Wilson) will soon learn that the explosive event called “The Shock” had given powers to more individuals too, who will use them to bring chaos to Blackpool, unless Dasher intervenes and stops them in their tracks. Thanks to his incredible speed, Blackpool will have a new guardian, watching over them. Hopefully this will return the town back to its bright and colourful glory days full of fun and laughter from locals and tourists alike. However, the real threat lurks below their feet, emerging from the sewers. Zog The Frog was created by Stanley White (my father) in 1992. After he developed the characters he created the first issue in 1993. Zog became his passion project and he began seeking a publisher. Zog was picked up by an indie comic book company called Bugged Out Comics and the first issue was released September 1993. The first issue was a hit and my dad was ecstatic! He immediately began work on the second issue. Shortly after this release my dad and Bugged Out parted ways. After that he seemed to let his dreams go, but he never let go of Zog. He knew Zog had a great story worthy to be told, but the daily grind of working a job that didn't appreciate him took precedence. In 2002 he had a stroke which took his ability to draw; and later that year he developed a rare brain tumor called glioblastoma. For two years he fought the tumor but on September 7th he passed away. Just a week before he died he shared his last request with me for when he was gone. The last of these request was to someday do something with Zog. On September 6th, the day before he passed I promised I would fulfill his request. Twenty years have passed since that day and the time for Zog to return has come. So I'm rereleasing his three completed books and completing Zog's story with seven more new books. Zog's return has been a long time coming and I'm thrilled to share this story!
