Alon (a sea lion) has faced discrimination for being a sea-dog in a world of land-dogs all his life. He moves to a small city port where he meets Marina, a selkie who wishes to go back to the sea, but has gotten her coat stolen. He falls head over heels for her and decides to help her get her coat back.
