Joan scours the desert for wrecks to salvage the parts she needs to repair her derelict ship and leave. One day a fresh crash brings more than what she had hoped for: The strange robot ORBO, brings terrible news - humanity is coming back and have no desire to share. The pair ventures forth to warn all sentient life and prepare to resist.

Finding people these days is rare, but solo survivor Chris Swift soon discovered there was a lot more of humanity left than he originally thought.
